Taking part together
Parents and children learn, work, and clean up together. These notes describe the shared responsibilities for our opening projects.

These are participation notes. Any event-specific forms or additional requirements will be shared with families before attendance.
Working as a family
A parent attends with their children and actively participates throughout each class. Tasks are matched to ability and the supervision needed. Everyone helps set up, practices the skill, and joins the cleanup.
Parents supervise their children, follow the event leader’s instructions, and help keep tools and materials in the assigned work areas. Hot cooking, precision cutting, rocket-launch equipment, and other tasks requiring adult handling are planned accordingly for the activity.
Practicing and demonstrating skills
Children get opportunities to perform suitable steps themselves with adult supervision. A certificate records a demonstrated skill and its supervision conditions. It does not remove the requirement for a parent to attend.
Children who have demonstrated a skill may help an adult teach younger learners. An adult continues to lead and supervise the activity.
