A little preparation

Bring your kit. Bring your curiosity.

We will make the supplies and any costs clear before each outing. Event-specific contributions have not been set, and there is no online payment or ticket purchase here.

Build a rocket

Your family brings

  • An Estes rocket kit that requires assembly, from HobbyTown or online.
  • The instructions for your particular kit.
  • A parent ready to build alongside their child.

Shared arrangements

  • Shared sandpaper, glue, and paint. Supplies will be matched to the kits.
  • A shared approach to preparing parts, assembling, and checking the work.

Fire skills & autumn apples

Your family brings

  • Clothes and layers suitable for an outdoor project.
  • A water bottle.
  • A participating parent for every child.

Shared arrangements

  • A shared fire-building activity and cooking setup.
  • Apples and shared apple-preparation equipment for an optional activity.

Ready, set, liftoff

Your family brings

  • Your finished rocket and its instructions.
  • Warm outdoor layers and a water bottle.
  • A parent to participate in the launch-day activities.

Shared arrangements

  • An organized family launch session, with adult-led range and equipment arrangements to be confirmed.

A day on the snow

Your family brings

  • Warm, weather-appropriate clothing and suitable snow gear.
  • A participating parent.
  • Equipment, rental, and lesson needs to share before the trip.

Shared arrangements

  • Group coordination; tickets, equipment rentals, and any lessons will be arranged separately.

We will work out the details together.

Rocket kits are bought by each family. Shared building supplies are provided for the build session. Launch equipment, any project contributions, and ski tickets, rentals, and lessons still need their final arrangements.

Check the event calendar for the current plan and the parent questions for more about taking part.
